The 2022 FLTRP · China Talent Cup English Speech Contest Concluded Successfully

    On October 12, the second selection final of the FLTRP International Cup English Speaking Competition was successfully held online. The competition lasted more than three hours, and Li Qian, an English major of our university, stood out among the 15 finalists and won the first prize of the school competition with his solid language skills, rigorous logical thinking and beautiful pronunciation and intonation. At that time, we will participate in the Shanghai semi-finals on behalf of our school in November.

    The Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Cup National English Speaking Competition is organized by the College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. Jointly organized by the Sub-committee of English Teaching Guidance of the Ministry of Education and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, it has become one of the most influential events. The English Speaking Contest was strongly supported by the School of Foreign Language and Cultural Communication and the Dean's Office of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University. I would like to thank Mr. Wang Lu, Mr. Wang Xiaoping, Mr. Zhou, Mr. Wu Huangzhi and Mr. Wang Ying from the School of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication. I would also like to thank the Youth League Committee of the School of Foreign Language and Cultural Communication and the Arts Department of the Student Union for their participation in the preparations for the Games.

     Through this competition, the contestants got a lot of harvest and exercise. We also hope that more students will dare to try, break through and participate in the competition. We'll see you next year!
