The School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication of Shanghai Polytechnic University held its first student congress

    On the afternoon of March 17, 2023, the first student congress of the School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University was held at the second floor of the Student Activity Center. Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee Ma Yufei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee Chen Jiajing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of each college, and President of the Student Union of each college were invited to attend the opening ceremony, and 84 student representatives from all administrative classes of the college attended the meeting.

    At 13: 30 p.m., the convention opens with the solemn national anthem. Ms. Ma Yufei, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, first of all expressed his warm congratulations on the opening of the conference and fully affirmed the achievements made by the preparatory group of the Student Union since its establishment in the Institute. And put forward three hopes for the work of the student union: One is to focus on the overall situation, firm ideals and beliefs; two is to strengthen knowledge learning, master the hard skills; three is full of work enthusiasm, to serve all students.

    The meeting heard a work report entitled Striving forward, Striving Forward, Striving Forward, Gathering Strength and Joining in a New Journey for the Development of Foreign Languages made by the Preparatory Group of the Student Union of the University. The report is divided into two parts, namely, the original aspiration to fulfill the mission of Pan, the youthful commitment to conduct new deeds, and the vigorous effort to launch a new course, and the concerted efforts to develop a new article. In this article, that author introduce the work of the student union in the aspects of ideology and politics, organization construction, campus activity, volunteer service and social practice, and put forward the future plan of the student union, We called on the cadre students to be more solid in their work, innovative in their methods, and considerate in their services, to unite and lead the students of the Institute to learn the wisdom and strength of growth in the course of the Party's century-long struggle, and to increase their ambition, backbone, and bottom-up. In the need of the Party and the people in the place of brilliant youth, in the new era on the road to singing youth praise.

     Mrs. Chen Jiajing, Deputy Party Secretary of the School, put forward three hopes for the student union of the School: First, he hoped that the students would have the willpower to hold firm to the mountain and not relax. Second, we hope that the students should have the backbone of not being indifferent and not knowing what they will do, and strengthen their moral cultivation; third, we hope that the students should have the awareness of three provinces, three days, my body, and strengthen the ideological construction of the student union.

    The congress adopted the secret ballot and elected the presidium of the first Student Union of the School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication: Yu Min, Zhu Chaoyu and Zhang Yan.
