2023 Shanghai Polytechnic University's Hematopoietic Stem Cell Sampling Campaign Concluded Successfully

    On the noon of May 17, the hematopoietic stem cell sampling activity organized by the Committee of the Foreign Languages Institute, with the theme of A Big Love to Light up the Relay Life of Youth and A Great Glory, was successfully carried out in Building 3. Zhao Guoqiang of the Shanghai Red Cross Society, Zong Yin of the Pudong New Area Red Cross Society and medical staff from the Shanghai Blood Center and Shanghai Seventh People's Hospital participated in the sampling. After three hours of continuous sampling, a total of 325 students in the school had successfully joined the hematopoietic stem cell database by 3pm. In carrying out the mission of youth through voluntary services and delivering the hope of life through love and dedication, SSPU students has demonstrated the elegant demeanor and responsibility of young people in the new era with concrete actions. As of today, more than 6,000 teachers and students have joined the China Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donor Database, and 12 matches and 12 donations have been made in the past 18 years. The school has been awarded the Shanghai Red Cross Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation Volunteer Recruitment Advanced Group, Shanghai Science and Education Party Committee System, Shanghai Youth Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation A number of honorary titles including Shanghai Special Support Award for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation, Shanghai Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation, Shanghai Advanced Group for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation, Shanghai University Red Cross Excellent Volunteer Service Project and so on. It fully demonstrates the noble sentiment and great love spirit of the students of SSPU.

    On the day of collection, in order to ensure the smooth completion of the collection, the students of the volunteer service team of hematopoietic stem cells of the School of Foreign Languages and Culture Communication came to the collection site early to arrange the sampling site. After the start of the sampling activity, receive the form and fill out the information, wait for the sampling in sequence, and receive the certificate of honor after the completion of the sampling. each link is organized with the help of the volunteers. Students also in the voluntary service of solidarity, cooperation, selfless dedication, to strengthen their sense of responsibility and mission.
