Students and Members of School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication Visit Shanghai Museum of Public Security for Party Discipline Study and Education
On the morning of September 29, the undergraduate Party branch and graduate Party branch of the School of Foreign Languages and Culture Communication organized all Party members to visit the Shanghai Museum of Public Security for the purpose of implementing relevant arrangements for Party discipline study and education, with the theme of Knowing the Bottom Line and Keeping the Red Line. The Party Day activity, themed on strengthening Party spirit cultivation, combines Party discipline learning with warning education, and through vivid examples, enables teachers and students and Party members to be alerted, understand the bottom line, observe the red line, and be in awe. College Party Secretary Gu Xiankai and Deputy Party Secretary Chen Jiajing jointly participated in the event.
Shanghai Museum of Public Security is the first police museum in China, and it has been nearly 25 years since it opened in 1999. The exhibition hall consists of four floors, including 11 branches, including the Preface Hall, the Public Security History Hall, the Heroes and Martyrs Hall and the Criminal Investigation Hall. It is a comprehensive museum with the theme of reflecting the development course and glorious tradition of Shanghai public security organs, and a public security museum with the theme of cultural relics display, popular science education and social service.
Along with the guide of the tour, the members of the teachers and students went up. Among them, the Public Security History Museum and the Hall of Heroes and Martyrs on the second floor show the history of the establishment and development of the people's public security organs from 1854 to the present, and represent the heroic deeds and relics of nearly 100 Shanghai police officers and heroes. The criminal investigation hall, public security management hall, traffic management hall and prison management hall on the third floor, as well as material evidence, notes and photos of more than 30 heavy and extremely serious cases, show the evolution of public security management. The Historical Changes of Urban Road Traffic Management and the Historical Changes of Prisons and Detention Centers. In the fire management hall, police equipment hall and police exchange hall on the fourth floor, Through objects and photos, the students learned about the evolution of fire fighting equipment in the late Qing Dynasty, the development of police equipment, and the cooperation and exchange in peace-keeping in various countries and regions in the world.
