The Science Popularization Lecture Hall in Pudong New Area in 2023 The Trend and Countermeasures of Scientific and Technological Innovation and Development was held in our school

    On September 28, the Trends and Countermeasures of Scientific and Technological Innovation and Development lecture of Popular Science Lecture (and Light of Thick Technology and Wisdom) was held in Pudong New Area in 2023. The lecture was hosted by the Science, Technology and Economic Commission of Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It is undertaken by Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center, Shanghai Science and Technology Communication Society, Shanghai Polytechnic University, School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication (General Education Center).

    The speaker is Professor Xiang Shiqing from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Machinery, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Xiang Shiqing has long been engaged in the research of modern optics and laser science and technology, and has made outstanding achievements in many fields such as laser physics and engineering. He is an outstanding expert in scientific research, and has nearly 20 years of experience in guiding science and technology innovation education, and has long served as a judge of national and provincial-level mass entrepreneurship and innovation competitions, college student challenge cups, and national youth science and technology innovation competitions. Dr. Tao Jiang, from the Center for General Education, School of Foreign Language and Cultural Communication, presided over the lecture.

    In the lecture, Professor Xiang Shiqing summarized the current trends of scientific research and technological innovation in the world, analyzed the inherent laws of technological innovation, and provided specific guiding opinions for the thinking and countermeasures of contemporary college students. At the end of the lecture, the students from Shanghai Second Polytechnic University actively asked questions about professional learning and career development, and gave a patient, meticulous and enlightening answer to Professor Shiqing.

    A total of more than 140 teachers and students participated in the lecture offline and live-streamed via WeChat video, with a total of 984 people watching the lecture online and gaining wide social attention.
