The Opening Ceremony of the Translation Engineering Laboratory

    On the morning of December 15, the opening ceremony of the Translation Engineering Lab jointly built by our school and iFlyTek Co., Ltd. was held at 110, Building 15. Vice President Xu Yufang and General Manager of iFlytek Shanghai Company DingTongtong, on behalf of the two sides, jointly inaugurated the laboratory.

     Xu Yufang, on behalf of the university, first extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She pointed out that as a municipal regular college, the university is good at engineering and develops in a coordinated way in management, economy, arts, science and technology. Over the years, iFlytek has gradually formed its own characteristics in terms of talent cultivation, technological innovation and cooperation in production, learning and research; iFlytek is the largest listed company in intelligent voice and artificial intelligence in the Asia Pacific region. In speech recognition, machine translation, big data analysis processing and other core technology development highlights the advantages. Following the principle of complementary advantages, resource sharing, mutual benefit, joint development and common development, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the early stage. The official completion of the Translation Engineering Laboratory marks that the cooperation between the two sides has entered a new stage of substantial development.

    He expressed his sincere gratitude to our school for its trust and support in iFlytek. He pointed out that the Translation Engineering Lab integrates core technologies such as voice recognition and machine translation, which will give strong support to the construction of translation degree points of the University and effectively promote the in-depth development of school-enterprise cooperation. Iflytek has made continuous explorations in artificial intelligence, data analysis and other fields, hoping to return technological achievements to education and serve the society. The cooperation between the two sides has begun to show results, and in the future, we will continue to seek cooperation growth points and create a new benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation.

    All the graduates of the 2023 translation major were also present to witness the event, and had a warm interaction with the leaders present, feeling deeply that the school has developed rapidly, and that the Grateful School has set up a platform and paid attention to the cultivation of postgraduate students, which has greatly enhanced the motivation for learning.
