Series Lectures of Ban Mu Fangtang in BOC-SSPU General Lecture: On Health Preservation of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Nei Jing

    On the afternoon of March 4, the BOC-SSPU General Education Lecture, hosted by the School of Foreign Language and Cultural Communication (General Education Center) of Shanghai Polytechnic University, was successfully held in Conference Room 201, Building 19, Shanghai Polytechnic University. The topic of this lecture is From the Inner Canon to talk about TCM health preservation.

     Chinese medicine practitioners, director of preventive and health care department of Chinese medicine, academic leader in the treatment of undiagnosed diseases, and inheritors of Wu Yingen, the fifth group of experts in traditional Chinese medicine, were invited to the seminar. Professor fang hong, vice chairman of the committee of shanghai university of traditional chinese medicine under the jiusan society, deputy director of the shanghai science popularization committee of the jiusan society, and member of the science popularization committee of the 15th central committee, is the keynote speaker. Professor Fang Hong presided over more than 40 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 100 papers. He also edited the 13th Five-Year Plan and the 14th Five-Year Plan for higher education in the Chinese medicine industry, including Chinese Medicine Dietetics, Chinese Medicine Dietetics and Health and Health, etc.

    Taking the theory of correspondence between nature and human being as the key link, Professor Fang Hong systematically explained the TCM health-preserving wisdom of applying the method to yin and yang and combining the work and rest characteristics and common sub-health symptoms of college students. The practical application of the traditional Chinese medicine concept of treating non-disease in modern life is analyzed in a simple way through vivid cases such as solar energy, diet, emotional care, and campus sports. It also looks forward to the path of inheritance and development of TCM health preservation culture in contemporary society.

    The activity attracted nearly 200 students from the whole school. During the interactive session, students actively asked questions about the compatibility of Anshen Tea Drink in Examination Season, improvement exercises for sedentary people in Baduanjin and physical identification and conditioning of college students. Combined with clinical diagnosis and treatment cases and scenes of campus life, the interesting and easy-to-understand explanation won a warm response on the spot.
