Public Foreign Language Party Branch of the School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication Visits the Basic Education Department of Shanda University for Exchange and Learning

    On the afternoon of March 12, some Party members of the Party Branch of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication went to Sanda University for exchange and study with the Public Foreign Language Teaching and Research Office and the Third Party Branch of the Basic Education Department of Sanda University. Attended by Zhang Hongmin, director of the public foreign language teaching and research office, and relevant party officials and key teachers.

    During the seminar, Zeng Ting, Party Secretary of the Party Branch of Public Foreign Languages, Luo Ling, Organizing Committee Member, and Director Zhang Hongmin introduced the basic situation, development trends and Party building of the Public Foreign Language Teaching Department of the school. The two sides held heated discussions on the credit setting, selection of teaching materials, course features, experience in teaching reform, and characteristics of students in the course of college English. It mainly discusses the mechanism and path of the deep integration of the Party's construction and the public foreign language education. Mr. Li Shuang, Deputy Director of the Department of College English Teaching, also shared the successful experience of using AI to empower college English courses. The Party teachers also shared their knowledge and practical experience on how to make use of the public foreign language classroom to effectively carry out the curriculum ideological and political construction.

    Both sides agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism for joint construction of the Party, joint implementation of themed Party activities, and integration of Party building and business work. We should jointly explore and practice the new ideas and measures of high-quality Party building to guide and guarantee the development of the connotation of public foreign language teaching.
