The students of our University made great achievements in the 3rd International Short Video Competition of Communication Power

    Recently, the third FLTRP-China Talent Cup international short video competition was successfully concluded, and two teams from our school won the second prize of the national final and the first prize of the Shanghai regional selection competition.

    In line with the spirit of telling good Chinese stories, spreading good Chinese voices, and showing a true, three-dimensional and all-round China, the contest attracted more than 10,000 students from 729 universities nationwide and over 4,000 entries. With the theme of Chinese Characters, the team composed by Ma Xiaoyu and Liu Jie, as well as English majors Yu Min and Wang Yuanyuan, has created an original short video in English. Vividly recreating the touching story of Bao Yanhui, inheritor of Shanghai cashmere embroidery national intangible cultural heritage project. A team composed of public relations majors Lin Jiawei and Xu Zhuhao, English major Wu Fei, and international business major Zhang Xuanyang, produced a short video in English, Grab King, telling the story of setting sail. Carry forward the spirit and culture of model workers, by the evaluation experts alike. The production of the two projects took more than three months, ranging from Chinese writing, English translation, English dubbing to short video shooting and technical production, which were independently completed by students under the guidance of a team of professional teachers.

    The award highlights the talent cultivation characteristics of the School of Foreign Languages and it is also another gratifying achievement in strengthening the construction of high-quality practical teaching.
