Our students won the prize in the Shanghai Overseas Safe and Civilized Campus Competition
On December 23, the final of the 2023 Shanghai Overseas Safe and Civilized Campus Competition was held at Shanghai Broadcasting Art Center, and the team of our school won the Most Popular Award and the Most Concerned Award of the Competition.
Teams from 16 local universities, including Donghua University, Shanghai University, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology, participated in the preliminary competition in June, the rematch in November and the final in December. Online voting and on-the-spot answer were used to produce the winning team. The contest will focus on overseas folklore, cultural differences, overseas safe and civilized behaviors and rights and interests protection (including financial fraud prevention). Other common-sense knowledge of science and public welfare (such as knowledge of biology science and environmental protection public welfare) and knowledge of emerging cultural trends will be supplemented to examine the relevant knowledge reserve and comprehensive resilience of the participating teams in an all-round manner. The team, composed of Dun Ji jun, Gong Yue, and Ding Chen Jiale, was successfully promoted to the final stage after a well-prepared contest.
The event was jointly sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Culture and Tourism Administration, and hosted by Shanghai People's Radio. The Shanghai Branch of Bank of China and Shanghai Magnolia International Foundation for Friendship and Exchanges have successfully held six sessions. The contest aims to spread overseas history and culture, popularize overseas civilization and behavior, and enhance overseas security awareness with rich and vivid content and rigorous and lively forms. The platform for communication and exchange of overseas security knowledge and rights and interests will safeguard students' safe study abroad and overseas exchange.
