A delegation from the University of Leicester in the UK visited our school

    On April 12, at the invitation of the School of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication, a delegation from the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences of the University of Leicester in the UK paid a visit to the University for talks on student training, mutual visits between teachers and students, and cooperation in scientific research.

    In the early days, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Leicester and the School of Arts have carried out academic exchanges, participated in the construction of the translation degree point (MTI) and the cultivation of postgraduate talents, and established a good foundation for cooperation. Professor Sarah Gong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, and Professor Tilly Blyth, Director of the Museum School, are visiting the Department of Education, and they hope to further expand their cooperation in other fields of arts, especially in media and art.

    The two sides had in-depth exchanges on mutual visits of teachers, joint training of graduate students, student exchanges and joint scientific research in the fields of language, media and art. In particular, by relying on the translation and design resources of the two professional master's degree points, we will explore the international cooperation in the double master's degree programs. Both sides expressed that they would strengthen communication and advance the signing of inter-school cooperation memorandum as soon as possible to reach substantial cooperation.

    Relevant heads of the International Exchange Division, the Foreign Languages Institute, and the School of Art and Design attended the seminar and reached a basic consensus on the specific contents of cooperation.

    As a hundred-year-old school in the UK, the University of Leicester has a good international reputation in teaching and scientific research, with a total number of students of over 23,000, and pays great attention to the development of academic research and practical skills of students.
