General Education: New Technology Enabling Medical Development with High Quality ― ― From the Perspective of GPT

    On the afternoon of April 25, Pan Jing, Chairman of Shanghai TIMI Robot Co., Ltd., came to our school to give a lecture on New Technology Enabling High Quality Development of Medical Care ― From GPT. This lecture belongs to the Bank of China-2 Gongdong Knowledge Lecture organized by the School of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication (General Education Center).

    Chairman Pan Jing is the founder and senior engineer of TIM Robot Company, professor of Southern Medical University, doctoral director, and member of the Ten Thousand Talents Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, deputy to the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and executive president of Shanghai Youth Federation. The titanium-rice robot created in 2016 has been awarded the title of National-level Specialist, Special and New Little Giant and National-level High-tech Enterprise, and has become a leader in the medical service robot industry.

    The lecture was also part of the Young Entrepreneurs of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce Entering the Second University of Technology jointly organized by the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, and Lu Min, Party Secretary of the university, Wang Jianming, Vice President of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, Xie Yingbo, President of Qingdao Federation of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Shanghai Titan Science & Technology Co., Ltd. attended the event and delivered speeches. During the general education lecture, Chairman Pan Jing guided the audience to understand AI, digital twin, application of robotics and digital transformation from the perspective of building a smart hospital. About 150 students participated in the lecture, and at the end of the lecture, students from Shanghai Second Polytechnic University actively asked questions and had an enthusiastic exchange with Chairman Pan Jing.
