    On the afternoon of October 30, the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication and the General Party Branch of the School of Mathematics Physics and Statistics jointly held a central group to expand learning. Dr. Du Ying, a research fellow at the Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences, was invited to give a special tutoring report on The Connotation, International Orientation and Realistic Choice of Building a Powerful State in Education. All the faculty and staff of the two colleges will participate in this study meeting.

    Based on the report to the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and the 2024 National Education Conference, Dr. Du Ying focused on the connotation, methods and system of building a powerful country in education. The strategic task of building a strong country in education and the situation and gap of China's education and human resources in the context of building a strong country in education. Four aspects, such as the realistic choice of speeding up the construction of education power, have carried on the systematic and comprehensive explanation to the national implementation of education power strategy. The report is rich in content and detailed in data, which broadens the thinking for the teachers of the two colleges to understand the national strategy of building a powerful country in education.

    The important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Education Conference held from September 9 to 10 this year stressed that building a strong country in education has been a dream of the Chinese nation since modern times. First, to realize the forerunner task of comprehensively promoting the building of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization, with solid foundation and strategic support, we must make solid progress toward the set goal. In the next step, the Party organizations of the two schools will further strengthen political and ideological guidance for all faculty members of the school, and guide all faculty members to enhance their sense of responsibility and mission to educate the Party and the country. We should set up the ambition of cultivating the educational world, making a strong country have me, and make greater contributions to the construction of a powerful country in education.
